What about a British boarding school immersion programme?

If a long-term commitment to UK education isn’t for you and summer school isn’t quite what you’re looking for either, what about a British boarding school immersion programme?

Usually offered during the summer term, many schools will consider a stay of weeks rather than months, so students get more of a flavour of boarding school life than summer schools can provide, without signing up to a long stay and/or exams.

For example, Ratcliffe College is running a Summer Immersion Programme from Sunday 8th June to Thursday 3rd July, providing a chance for students to experience living and learning in a vibrant community of over 20 nationalities, building lasting friendships while developing independence and resilience, possibly laying the groundwork for future study abroad. EAL lessons are available if required, but students will otherwise be immersed in lessons with primarily British students. In addition to classroom learning, they’ll have access to over 80 co-curricular activities each week and enjoy twice-weekly excursions to historic towns and cities, improving their English and gaining insight into British heritage and culture.

Rossall School’s similar programme offers a great opportunity to enjoy half a term following specialist programmes alongside integration with the regular curriculum, so students get a feel for life at a boarding school during the summer months whilst British pupils are on the campus.

Sedbergh School also has some half-term places in various year groups available in June, while Giggleswick School is running a Senior Immersion Programme for international students in years 7-10 from Sunday 1st to Friday 27th June.

These are just a few of the options available, as many of the schools we work with have flexibility over the length of stay, even if they don’t offer a specific immersion programme. So, if you would like to know more about a British boarding school immersion programme, please contact us.
