West Buckland School’s boarding award hopes

We were delighted to receive a copy of West Buckland School’s first International Newsletter at the end of last term, especially as it reported their nomination for Boarding School of the Year in the TES Independent School Awards 2019.

The School has been shortlisted because it offers great outcomes and integration for its boarders, whatever their length of stay – just one of the reasons we are so often pleased to recommend it to our clients, whether they are seeking a placement for just one term or to complete their secondary education in the UK.

This first newsletter also detailed a selection of the wide range of activities West Buckland’s students have been enjoying. Like all the wonderful British boarding schools we work with, there really is something for everyone – basketball and baking, Park Runs and scuba diving. Not forgetting the academic side of life, as there were reports of international students taking the Cambridge First Certificate in English, as well as participating in a Devon-wide inter-school Maths challenge.

We are fortunate to have an extensive network of UK boarding schools that offer flexibility in terms of length of stay and which maximise students’ experience while in their care. Many others are nominated for the TES awards, in various categories, so we’ll keep a keen eye on the results and report back soon after their announcement early next month.

Meanwhile, please do contact us if you’d like to find out more.
