Academic

Cobham Hall’s flexible curriculum, small class sizes and dedicated Student Support and EFL Departments ensure that each girl is challenged and supported appropriately, with impressive results for a non-selective school. A broad curriculum based around 20+ A Level subjects is offered in the Sixth Form, alongside the EPQ, Global Critical Thinking and a Tutorial Programme. Pre-A Level Courses are also offered and there is an Intensive English Language Support Programme for foreign students up to Year 11 who need it.

Boarding

Rated 'Excellent' in 2015 by the ISI, Cobham Hall’s pastoral care supports and nurtures, with 'Big Sisters' and housemistresses adding to the family atmosphere. Of the 3 boarding houses the purpose-built Bligh house and Brooke house are home to Years 7-10 and Sixth Formers respectively, whilst Year 11 live in the original Manor House. Saturday morning activities range from personal finance to self-defence and cookery whilst a wellbeing programme ensures that the whole person is considered.

Sports

150 acres of grounds provide ample room whilst the facilities, which include a heated indoor swimming pool, tennis and netball courts and an indoor activity centre with fitness and dance studios, allow girls to enjoy activities from athletics to Zumba! Horse riding is offered through nearby equestrian centres, and the local golf course is also available. Girls compete at national and international level in sports including equestrianism, trampolining, cross-country, football and triathlon.

Creative arts

Girls study a variety of visual and performing arts up to and at Sixth Form level whilst the extra-curricular programme offers drama, art, orchestra and choirs, along with annual house drama and music festivals. The Music Wing has practice rooms, a recording studio and a digital music suite whilst photographers have access to a digital photo manipulation suite and a dark room. A significant number of girls also take voice, drama and communication tuition, which leads to LAMDA examinations.
