Founded in 1920 and set in 54 acres of stunning Scottish parkland in Perthshire, Kilgraston is one of only a few all-girls boarding schools in Scotland and offers an excellent education. Boarding

There are 4 boarding houses, all connected to the main school, allowing access to the School’s facilities at evenings and weekends. All girls have their own bedroom, with an option to share if preferred. Housemistresses and their assistants work closely with tutors to put pastoral care at the heart of the School, whilst older girls act as big sisters or ‘BFGs’ to the younger girls. There is an active social calendar with sports fixtures, musical performances, excursions and many social events.

Sport is led by a two-time hockey Olympian, Pauline Stott, and the enviable range of sporting facilities includes an international size all-weather hockey Astroturf, a sports hall, a climbing wall, 8 floodlit tennis courts, an equestrian centre and a 25m indoor swimming pool. All pupils are encouraged to take part and find a sport that suits them, regardless of age and ability, whilst elite performers are supported with specialist coaching, including sports psychology and nutrition.

Music’s key role is reflected in the busy calendar of events, including the annual Christmas Concert, whilst girls regularly represent the school both regionally and nationally. Plays, musicals and house drama competitions are held in the 150 seat theatre and a recording studio was added in 2010. The Art department is renowned for its creativity in disciplines ranging from Applied Arts such as jewellery design to more traditional Fine Arts like photography.
