A 1 year GCSE ‘Pre’ programme is offered along with standard and fast-track versions of A Levels and a University Foundation course. Each student has a personal tutor responsible for overseeing all aspects of life, from personal development to academic progress through a personal study plan. Full-time Higher Education Officers are dedicated to offering individual support for university applications and, impressively for a non-selective school, around half of A Level candidates achieve A*/A.
The College’s under 18s accommodation, Premier House, is located just a 3 minute walk away from campus and offers en-suite rooms refurbished to a high standard, with a dedicated team of houseparents to look after students’ well-being. There are a further 200+ en suite single rooms for over 18s in the modern Piccadilly Court, just three stops away from College on the underground. There is high speed Wifi throughout and a dedicated team organises over 40 extra-curricular activities.
CATS has a range of sports activities, which are very much shaped by the students themselves. Students can easily launch a new club if there is a demand. Support is also offered to students wishing to get involved with local sports teams in the community. Alternative sports at CATS have included dance, yoga and zumba.
CATS London offers Fine Art and Photography at A Level, and has its own dark room on site. Its central London location is also ideal for arts and culture with the theatres of the West End and an abundance of galleries and museums to visit, whilst a range of Creative Arts clubs and extra-curricular activities is offered. After studying A Levels creative students can choose to continue their Art studies at CATS partner college, Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts.
