An entrepreneurial alumnus

Kent College Canterbury recently hosted former pupil David de Min on the day he completed the soft release of an app he has developed.

Called Velapp, the app offers a simple method of editing video as you shoot it. Using 3D touch technology, this new method of videoing is set to take the world by storm. David captivated his audience of current students at this English boarding school, and within minutes they were able to shoot and edit their own videos.

David then went on to inspire the students with his can-do attitude, which has enabled him to drive his business from idea to fruition in just 12 months. Through sheer tenacity, David has managed to get his app seen and recognised by world authorities such as Steve Wozniak, co-founder of Apple!

While he is obviously a very driven individual, we think he provides a great example of the level of confidence British boarding schools can nurture.

If you would like more information about this, or any of the other independent boarding schools we recommend, please do contact us.
